Chordiant Adds Chuck Altomare As Vice President, Worldwide Engineering
Former Business Objects, Informix Technology Executive Brings 25 Years of Global Engineering Management Experience CUPERTINO, CA – March 25, 2008Chordiant Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHRD), the leading provider of Customer Experience (Cx™) software and services, today announced that Chuck Altomare has joined the company as Vice President, Worldwide Engineering. He will report to chairman, president and CEO Steven R. Springsteel. Chordiant also announced that James St. Jean, Chordiant’s former Vice President, Engineering, has been named Chief Technology Officer for the company. In his new role St. Jean will lead technology direction and strategy, oversee product management, and continue to focus on strategic acquisitions. Succeeding St. Jean in his new engineering leadership role, Altomare will be responsible for all technical and product development activities across Chordiant’s applications and solutions. By targeting global brand leaders dealing with high volumes of multi-channel customer interaction needs, Chordiant Software transforms their front-office results by creating real-time "next best actions" for customers to help increase revenue and satisfaction through "mutual" offers. Chordiant applications and solutions are built on an open, standards-based environment running on sixth generation SOA technology, which easily integrates with existing customer systems. Prior to joining Chordiant Software, Altomare was at start-up Starview Technology. Before that he was Vice President, Engineering at Business Objects, where he managed and led their large European Development Center for three years. Based in France, he was responsible for all engineering functions across development, software testing, technical product management, release management and documentation. Altomare also headed engineering for Acta, a leading applications integration company acquired by Business Objects in 2002.
